Whether you like zesty lemon, green tea & ginger or rooibos & passionfruit, we have a ChariTea for you.
ChariTea’s whole-leaf tea comes from cooperatives and plantations around the globe. The company pay's higher prices for high quality, organic ingredients and helps to support fairer farming. ChariTea’s Fair-Trade approach therefore empowers farmers so they can live a better life.
Their green and black teas originate from Idalgashinna, Sri Lanka’s first organic and fair-trade tea garden. Since 1987, the plantation has been growing tea and in 1999 they made steps to start growing bio-dynamically, adopting an environmentally conscious approach to their work. By following Fair-Trade standards, Idalgashinna has helped tackle exploitation in the area, allowing fairer working and living conditions for tea-pickers who often live on site.
Travelling up to South Africa is where you will find ChariTea’s rooibos plantations in Heiveld, a Fairtrade cooperative north of Cape Town. Heiveld aims to fight against racial discrimination and provide opportunities for families to grow and sell rooibos who have been limited by discriminatory practices in the past.
As for ChariTea’s refreshing ice teas, they possess an all important ingredient, agave syrup, which gives a ‘light natural sweetness’ to their drinks. The Agave plant is native to Mexico where it is grown by the Nekutli cooperative for ChariTea. This cooperative is made up of thirteen farming unions and indigenous organisations who all follow precise ecologically positive agricultural practices and Fairtrade values.

For each bottle sold, 5 cents is donated to the Lemonaid & ChariTea Foundation which helps fund social projects in the developing regions. As a result, ChariTea have successfully raised over 6 million euros for schools and solar projects in areas such as South Africa, Sri Lanka and Latin America.
At CombiniCo, we value working with and supporting partners who share our core values by being environmentally conscious and supporting communities at both the local and global levels. This is the core reason why we love offering ChariTea to our customers and will continue to support this brand
