Combini’s mission has always been to set environmental standards above what is expected from a food brand. Our new food emissions labelling system is a big step to making that happen.
We meticulously analysed the ingredient in every bowl, roll and salad we sell, to estimate the amount of carbon dioxide emitted in both production and transport processes. These figures are then displayed alongside nutritional information and categorised in our store to give a level of transparency that is rarely seen in our industry. In a single glance, our customers are able to see the impact of their meal and consider lower emissions alternatives, such as our 100% plant-based food line.
Helping our customers to make more conscious decisions about their food choices, that take into account environmental impact as well as health, is a key part of our work at Combini, and we’re excited to continue sharing it with our community.
